We are Paws for a Break

Paws for a Break is a fully insured and licenced boarding facility where your pet can stay in a loving and caring Home-from-Home environment. We are Located in a beautiful area of the South Downs in Sevenoaks, Kent with fields and woodlands nearby for fun and happy walks.

We have over 50 years’ experience of pet ownership and have also had training with a senior UK Field Trials Judge and Trainer from the Gundog Club, up to grade 5. I am OFQUAL 3 qualified and have a 5* rated Licence rating with Sevenoaks District Council.

We accept small to medium breeds of dogs. Your pet will have access to a large enclosed garden, which is safe and free from hazards. There are no other animals in the family home and no children. Your pet will be given dedicated, tailor-made care and personal attention, at all times, during their stay at Paws for a Break. Your pet will be treated as part of our family and made to feel fully at home. We encourage you to bring their familiar toys and own bedding to ensure they quickly settle in their holiday home.

We only ever accept an absolute maximum number of 3 small to medium breed dogs at any one time. Your dog will always receive completely personal dedicated care and attention. The mix of dogs boarding with us is strictly administered, by myself, in order to ensure there is 100% compatibility at all times. If I am not fully happy and/or in agreement with sharing then this will not be offered; the welfare of all dogs is paramount, without exception. If you wish to have just your own dog board with us, exclusive of all others and if we have availability, then this can be considered.

Your pet will stay in a happy, safe, non-smoking home with full access to all rooms and will never be shut away, kennelled or caged at any time.

Visits are welcomed by prior arrangement.

Payment due in full at the time of booking
Overnight Boarding: £35

24 Hours
Deposit 20% due at the time of booking
Balance due by 28 days prior to the first date of Boarding

Booking

Please indicate the dates required for your booking in an email or give us a call. Upon receipt of a booking request, we will:

  • Acknowledge your enquiry and confirm the availability of the dates
  • Arrange with you a mutually convenient date for a Meet and Greet
  • Hold the requested dates for you

Subject to an agreeable Meet and Greet we will:

  • Formally acknowledge the Reservation with you
  • Confirm the payment dates and amounts due
  • Forward to you the Invoice, Booking Forms and detail any other required documentation
  • Request the immediate payment as detailed in the Booking Form and Contract

Reservation

Upon receipt of appropriate payment and our acceptance of the Booking Forms we will:

  • Formally confirm the Reservation with you
  • Agree and finalise all arrangements for the boarding period

Biography

I am Barry and have been married to Mandy for 24 years. I took early retirement at 50 as I wanted to enjoy the slower pace of life outside of London and Corporate Business. I have a lot of love to give to all animals but have a particular connection with dogs. I treat all dogs with love, care and compassion and look after them as if they are my own. I can promise you that your pet will be cared for extremely well and you can relax on your own vacation knowing that your pet is being left in safe, caring hands.
